The Old Post Office

The Old Post Office restaurant occupies just that, an 85-year old historic post office in the heart of Burlingame, subject to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation & associated Preservation Covenant.

This project required intensive collaboration with the developer, A&E, and base building construction teams to prepare all necessary utility infrastructure in support of future interior improvements. A substantial development process followed, including the necessary negotiation & coordination with the historic architect & City Planning to ensure compliance, as well as protect all elements of historic significance. Dramatic custom chandeliers, aged brass, dark wood, and art deco touches throughout combine to honor the heritage & history of this one-of-a-kind location.

An upcoming 1,200sf custom “greenhouse” will be installed on the adjacent patio, with delivery expected in Q2 2027.
